Walk-in, walk-out procedures
Treatment Options
Modern varicose vein treatments are minimally invasive, performed under local anaesthetic, and designed to get you back on your feet the same day. The right approach depends on your scan results — often a combination delivers the best outcome.
Personalised to your scan results
Every treatment plan begins with a specialist duplex ultrasound scan. This maps the veins in your legs and identifies exactly where valve failure is occurring. Based on the findings, Mr Sidloff will recommend the most effective approach — whether that is a single procedure or a tailored combination.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
The gold-standard minimally invasive treatment. A thin catheter delivers controlled heat to seal faulty veins from the inside, using the Medtronic ClosureFast system.
- Local anaesthetic
- 30–45 minutes
- ~90% symptom resolution
Foam Sclerotherapy
A medical foam (Fibrovein) is injected into the affected vein under ultrasound guidance, causing it to collapse and be reabsorbed by the body. Ideal for smaller or more complex veins.
- Ultrasound-guided
- No incisions
- Quick recovery
Avulsions (Phlebectomy)
Surface varicose veins are removed through tiny punctures in the skin under local anaesthetic. Often combined with RFA or foam sclerotherapy for a complete result.
- Minimal scarring
- Local anaesthetic
- Immediate improvement
